Soul ID – Carpe Diem

Music Video | 5 minutes | Color | 2.35:1

Syuting menghabiskan waktu dua hari.

Carpe Diem! Seize the Day! Petiklah harimu!

When we first heard this song, Jason Iskandar the director said, “It makes me want to do sport!” The new single from Soul ID entitled Carpe Diem is indeed different from their previous songs. Carpe Diem is like having a higher torque, and there is a positive energy contained in it. Once we are invited to collaborate with Soul ID to work on this video clip, we know our main task is to keep the energy burning.

The concept that we develop is based on this positive energy. We want every image we present, capable of delivering that energy to the audience, or even give additional value in this song. There are several alternative concepts that we prepared, before we finally agreed to photograph a figure whose spirit represents this song. Fortunately we had the opportunity to meet with M. Fadli Imammudin.

M. Fadli Immamudin is a famous motorcycle racer in Indonesia. A few years ago, he suffered a fatal accident after crossing the finish line, and his left leg had to be amputated. He had to stop some time to recover his soul and body, but it did not last long. Thanks to his strong determination, he started to practice bicycles, and now he has represented Indonesia in para-cycling in several International championships.

Filming took two days. We spent the first day taking the vocal and dance scene in the PD Bumi Jaya kapok warehouse located just behind Studio Antelope. The second day was spent at M. Fadli’s residence in Sentul. In addition to interviewing, we also recorded the footage of his regular exercise in preparation for Asian Para Games 2018. The combination of the two: the dark warehouse and the inspiring story of M. Fadli, we believe can keep the spirit and energy of this song as a whole.
