Short Film | Drama | 18 minutes | Original Title: Dengarlah Nyanyian Ping-Pong
Caitlin, a 6-year-old girl, navigates her life amid the commotion of her family’s arguments in a Hokkien dialect she doesn’t understand. She tries to make sense of the confusing pressures and emotions around her through the rhythmic sound of a ping-pong ball.
This short film was produced with the support of the “Layar Indonesiana” grant, awarded by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Indonesia. Inspired by the personal experiences of director and writer Andrew Kose, the film had its premiere at the Jogja-NETPAC Asian Film Festival in 2024.
