08 Sep Hijab Love Story 2: Behind The Scene

What if a beauty hairstyle vlogger decided to wear hijab? What is the consequences she has to face? This simple premise could bring a lot of stories ahead. After the success of the first season of Hijab Love Story Web Series, Dream.co.id and Wardah are back with the second season. Famous.id in collaboration with Studio Antelope produce four episodes, which are scheduled to be aired next October.

The four days shoot has been done. There will be a different feel than the first season of the series. Jason Iskandar, who was appointed to direct the series, revealed that he wants the story to be more universal and could be understood by audiences from various backgrounds.

Hijab Love Story 2 will follow a character named Rae, a renowned hairstyle vlogger that has to deal with people who disagree with his decision to wear hijab. Dru, her boyfriend, openly reject Rae’s drastic appreance changes. At the same time, Rae become close to Samy, a barista who works her uncle’s cafe, which she is endorsing in the last few weeks.

The theme of Hijab Love Story 2 is conscience. We believe all of us have ever had problems with our conscience. Whether ridiculed by our choices, our attitudes, or even changes in our appearance. We believe this is very universal issue. Rae, as a human, also experienced the problem we all ever experienced: criticism and suspicion because of listening to your conscience.

Rae is played by Puteri Modiyanti, who is same as Rae, works as a beauty vlogger in the daily life. Meanwhile, Luthfi Aulia will portray Dru character; and Rian Adianto play as Samy. This is their first experience acting in front of the camera. Although this is their first experience, they were able to portray each character well. They not only prove that they were able to demonstrate their good chemistry on camera, but also showed professionalism in acting.

There is one our favourite scene. The scene when Rae was baking apple pie with Samy. We love this scene very much because its shows their talents very much. This scene is also quite romantic because it was taken after the cafe was closed with dim lighting, just the two of them. We ourselves can not wait to see the end result of this scene.
