Langit Masih Gemuruh is Competing for Silver Screen Awards

We are proudly announce that our new short film, Langit Masih Gemuruh (English Title: The Day The Sky Roared) is selected to compete for Silver Screen Awards in Singapore International Film Fetsival 2015. We are now eligible to compete for Best Director, Best Short Film, Best Performance, and Special Mention.

There are two other Indonesian short films in competition. Langit Masih Gemuruh will be screened in the same programme with Lucky Kuswandi’s The Fox Exploits The Tiger’s Might (official selection of Semaine de la Critique Festival de Cannes 2015). The other Indonesian short film is Adi Marsono’s Last Night Our Daughter Come Back Home.

Jakarta, Indonesia – May 1998, during two days of mass violence, rioters killed thousand of people, most of Chinese decent. A single Chinese-Indonesian mother struggle to save her family as the riot rose near their neighbourhood. But for her 8 years old daughter, that was the day the sky roared.
