Taken from Muvila’s event, Nonton Yuk!. Nonton Yuk! is an event organized by Muvila.com, an online magazine organized by Kapan Lagi Network. In this edition, they screened first short film ever directed by Indonesian filmmakers. We are proud that our director, Jason Iskandar, also participated and screened his first short film called Sarung Petarung.

The film was made in 2007 in a documentary workshop and competition intiated by jakarta Arts Council and The Body Shop Indonesia. The workshop resulted Sarung Petarung to win three awards including best documentary film. Sarung Petarung is a documentary film about condom usage in teenagers age and its relation to safe sex education.

Beside Sarung Petarung, Muvila also screened first short film directed by Lucky Kuswandi (his latest film The Fox Exploits The Tiger’s Might selected in Critics Week Festival de Cannes), Hanung Bramantyo (knowned as a director of various blockbuster films, including Ayat Ayat Cinta, Perempuan Berkalung Sorban, Tanda Tanya, and many more), and Anggy Umbara (director of last year box office film Comic 8).
