Jutaan Pohon Untuk Kehidupan

Branded Film – Documentary | 4 minutes (1 minute cutdown) | Color | 16:9

Didirikan sejak tahun 1979, misi utama Djarum Trees for Life tetaplah sama: merawat lingkungan.

Humans and nature are interconnected. Humans need nature to live. What we eat, breathe, etc, all comes from nature. Therefore, we humans have to do something, not only to restore what we have taken, but also to take care of it for the sake of our future.

Djarum Foundation through Djarum Trees For Life program, has demonstrated its commitment to take care for the environment. Established since 1979, Djarum Trees for Life’s main mission remains the same: taking care for the environment. Beginning with reforestation in Kudus city by planting more than 2,000,000 trees, Djarum Trees for Life is now expanding by planting trembesi along Pantura, conservation of mangroves on the north coast of Java Island, and conservation of Muria. Not only that, there is still a lot that Djarum Trees for Life wants to do to realize its mission of taking care for the environment.

This short 4-minute documentary photographed Djarum Trees for Life through environmental heroes in the field. With a personification approach, director Ari Rusyadi followed four figures: Prinsa, the young scholar who has a passion for literacy towards the community, Pak Temu who has worked for decades in planting Trembesi, Pak Sururi who struggled to repair the mangrove belt on the coast of Semarang, and Pak Jono who planted coffee to prevent landslides on the Muria Slope. All is done to take care of the nature where we stand.

The process of making this short documentary takes 3 months. Studio Antelope was involved in the whole process, from processing data into a creative concept, conducting research in the field and developing it into a script, until the production process that took 5 days in several cities in Central Java.
